ExMesh™ Engineering metal mesh security solutions are manufactured in the UK by The Expanded Metal Company, a renowned specialist in expanded metal mesh solutions, and are shipped around the world.
ExMesh™ Engineering offers innovative, certified physical security solutions to LPS 1175: Issue7 C5* which can be used in target hardening to reinforce and improve existing security measures. *Certificate No 731e to LPS 1175: Issue 78
The ExMesh™ Engineering product range includes high security fencing systems, gates and additional metal mesh security systems such as cages. It is is used for the protection of staff and assets in sectors including critical national infrastructure, rail, telecoms, energy, water and data centres.
Operating from a 25,000 sqm site in Hartlepool, The Expanded Metal Company is a leader and innovator in the development and manufacture of expanded metal mesh products and was the first UK fencing manufacturer to be awarded ‘Secured by Design’ status. It is committed to providing apprenticeships and developing a new generation of manufacturing and engineering specialists in the UK.

OUR HERITAGE
ExMesh™ Engineering is part of The Expanded Metal Company who has a rich industrial heritage dating back to 1889 and a proud innovation in metal manufacturing and fabrication.
The company was founded by John French Golding, the inventor and patentee of expanded metal – his first British patent was issued in 1884.
Our company develops and manufactures products from our site in Hartlepool, which is a long established global centre for expanded metal expertise.
We are committed to developing specialist manufacturing expertise in North East England and maintaining and building a highly skilled workforce.
