We’re constantly evolving here at ExMesh™ Engineering. We don’t like to stand still.
So, to ensure our security solutions stand out in the market and are understood by specifiers and buyers, we have introduced a series of new product names.
And we’ve also launched an exciting new product range too.
The ExMesh™ Engineering ProtEx range
The ExMesh™ Engineering ProtEx range features our three existing Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) security fencing and gate systems.
These British-made systems are manufactured from high quality raised steel mesh at our Hartlepool site and are used extensively to protect people, property and assets.
They all benefit from the inherent strength of expanded metal. There is nothing to work loose, no fretting strands and no strained joins or welds. In contrast to palisade or welded wire mesh, our ProtEx fencing can’t be targeted at welds or parted by common tools.
The design of ProtEx fencing means that it’s also very difficult to climb – as it doesn’t have finger or footholds.

ExMesh™ Engineering Class 1 fencing is now ExMesh™ Engineering ProtEx 1
ExMesh™ Engineering ProtEx 1 fencing is a cost effective perimeter fencing solution and is used to protect facilities such as warehouses, distribution centres, mobile phone masts, telecommunications infrastructure, data centres and retail sites.
It has achieved LPCB 1175 A1: Issue 8* certification and is designed to provide resistance against attacks with tools such as cable cutters and pliers.

The ExMesh™ Engineering Class 2 fencing and gates system is now ExMesh™ Engineering ProtEx 2
solution offers high level perimeter protection for at-risk sites and was one of the first fencing systems in the UK to gain LPCB B3** accreditation under the standard LPS 1175: Issue 8.
ExMesh™ Engineering ProtEx 2 fencing also features a unique post stringer and mesh design to deter attackers.
ExMesh™ Engineering ProtEx 2 gates which are also certified to LPCB LPS B3**: Issue 8, can be easily combined into a secure protection system with our ProtEx 2 fence.
Enabling two lanes of through traffic to move through a perimeter, ExMesh™ Engineering ProtEx 2 gates offer one of the largest security rated opening options available.

ExMesh™ Engineering Class 3 fencing and gates is now ExMesh™ Engineering ProtEx 3
ExMesh™ Engineering ProtEx 3 security fencing is one of the few high security fencing systems in the UK to gain LPCB C5*** accreditation under the standard LPS 1175: Issue 8.
Twin skinned, the fencing is designed to provide resistance to very aggressive attacks and can protect perimeters against forced entry by intruders using tools such as bolt cutters, crowbars, hammers, axes and pad saws.
Accredited to the same level, ExMesh™ Engineering ProtEx 3 gates are available in a range of sizes in both pedestrian and vehicle layouts.
Available in a single or double leaf hinge, these gates incorporate lockable sliding latches with alternatives available on request. The gates are also double skinned and include a fully protected locking mechanism, and fully protected gate hinges with anti-climb and anti-lift properties.

ExMesh™ Engineering Boundary Panels are now ExMesh™ Engineering ArchiteX
ExMesh™ Engineering ArchitEx can be used for demarcation in environments including housing schemes, local authority sites, parks and schools. And they are perfect for circumstances where aesthetics are a consideration.
They are used to define boundaries and mark the divides between public and private property, as well as screening anything unsightly, whilst still maintaining free air flow and can be supplied in a variety of heights.
ExMesh™ Engineering ArchitEx are easy to install, which is especially useful when experienced fencing contractors aren’t available. They are also robust and virtually maintenance free, making them a cost effective, long-term solution.

Introducing our new product range – ExMesh™ Engineering modular security cages
We now offer ExMesh™ Engineering Modular Security Cages, which provide an easily transportable, flatpack alternative to static storage cages.
They are simple to assemble, install and disassemble, and offer high impact resistance.
Manufactured at our Hartlepool site, these steel cages can be used to keep a range of items secure, from gas cylinders and PPE to tools, bikes, bins and high value equipment. They can also be used as machine guards.
They offer good through-vision and airflow too, and are hot dip galvanised to EN ISO 1461:2022: this provides long-life and low maintenance corrosion protection.
