exmesh securilath installation
Our client, a UK-based communications company, was moving to new premises after a major expansion and had invested in a range of new high value equipment.
The client needed a physical security solution that could protect its communications hardware within the new building, and prevent intruders from breaching walls to gain access to this equipment.
However, the company required a solution that could be quickly installed without considerable disruption to the building, and one that could be easily incorporated within the site’s existing structure.
The client also needed a certified security solution in line with insurance requirements.
After an on-site assessment of the client’s needs and the company’s building structure, we recommended the installation of ExMesh™ Engineering Securilath™ security mesh in the wall partition of a new storage area, which was built to house the client’s equipment.
Securilath™ has been designed to significantly delay determined intruders from creating an aperture large enough to gain entry to a building or room. It is a versatile material which can be easily fitted during construction or retro-fit.
Our ExMesh™ Engineering Securilath™ HD1 product was chosen for the project. This heavyweight steel mesh was installed across a plasterboard partition, providing an additional layer of security for the storage area, which, when covered, was also discreet and blended in with the rest of the building.
When applied as one layer across 12mm plasterboard ExMesh™ Engineering Securilath™ HD1 achieves Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) Standard LPS 1175 Security Rating A1*. This nationally-recognised accreditation gave the client additional peace of mind… and helped it to meet insurance requirements.
A variety of other security meshes are available in the Securilath™ range, including double-skinned solutions.
