ExMesh Engineering supplied bespoke fencing and gates to secure a previously open boundary at the National Data Centre Academy, ahead of the arrival of additional training equipment.
Project overview
The National Data Centre Academy (NDCA) in Leamington Spa provides hands-on training for people working in the data centre industry. Its facilities give learners practical experience with data centre equipment, helping them understand how it operates and how different systems work together.
With more equipment due to be brought in for training, NDCA needed to restrict access to areas of its premises that had previously been open. The fencing and gates also had to complement the surrounding business park.
We worked with Profence on the project, manufacturing and supplying the fencing and gates for their team to install.
Product solution
To secure the side of the building and external staff area, we supplied six metres of Fastrack fencing with 4095 expanded metal mesh. This was made to suit the existing wall and supplied with a single leaf gate.
For the wider entrance, we supplied a double leaf gate which was four metres wide, with two smaller side panels. These were from our ArchitEx Architectural Panels range and featured Bilbao mesh.
The powder coated finish was colour matched to the building’s existing shutters. This helped the new fencing and gates become part of the overall appearance of the premises, meeting NDCA’s requirement for a boundary that complemented its surroundings.
Installation
Profence carried out the installation, fitting the bespoke fencing to the existing wall and installing the gates and adjoining panels.

Outcome
The completed installation replaced an open boundary with fencing and gated access, giving NDCA greater control over entry to its premises ahead of bringing in additional training equipment.
The bespoke design made use of the existing wall and accommodated the wider entrance. Working with Profence, we helped the academy secure these areas while retaining an appearance suited to its business park setting.
