DATA CENTRES
A cyber-attack is often perceived as one of the key risks to data centres. However, physical security breaches are also a major threat, as they can lead to high value equipment such as server units being stolen or damaged, confidential data falling into the wrong hands and major interruptions to service.
ExMesh™ Engineering can support data centre operators in building layered security measures into their sites. This can be used in conjunction with CCTV, access control measures and security personnel.
Our physical security solutions help to protect perimeter areas to reduce the threat of an intruder gaining access to a data centre. Our solutions can also protect server rooms and building services rooms (for instance where electrical systems or back-up generators are located) with an additional layer of security.
ExMesh™ Engineering offers a range of UK-made security products which are used to enhance data centre security:
ExMesh™ Engineering ProtEx 1 is one of our most widely used fencing systems. It has achieved Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) 1175 SR1: Issue 8 and offers a robust, certified data centre fencing solution for perimeter protection.
ExMesh™ Engineering ProtEx 2 was one of the first fencing systems in the UK to gain LPCB LPS 1175 SR2 accreditation. It offers a high level of perimeter protection for data centres, is easy to install, and can be used on undulating and sloping ground.
ExMesh™ Engineering Securilath™, is a LPCB-accredited security mesh. It is used to protect server rooms and building services rooms and can be situated within internal and external walls, ceilings and roofs. ExMesh™ Engineering Securilath™ can be easily fitted at the construction stage or during retrofit and offers building contractors a higher degree of flexibility when installing utilities when compared to composite panel systems.
